Getting Started

How do I set up Edeb for the first time?

When you first open Edeb, you will be guided through a short onboarding process. The app will ask for location permission to calculate accurate prayer times for your area. We recommend granting this permission for the best experience.

Does Edeb require an account or registration?

No. Edeb does not require you to create an account. You can use all free features immediately after installing the app.

Prayer Times

Why are my prayer times inaccurate?

Prayer times are calculated based on your device's current location. Please make sure:

1. Location permission is granted to Edeb (Settings → Apps → Edeb → Permissions → Location)
2. Your device's location services are turned on
3. You have an active internet connection

Can I use prayer times without location permission?

No. Accurate prayer times require your geographic coordinates. Without location access, the prayer times feature will not function.

How do I change the prayer calculation method?

You can change the calculation method in the app's Settings screen. Different regions and schools of thought use different calculation methods.
